- If you have some trouble with the MP3 player, you have to do some modifications in your system:
- If you get the message "not a registered MCI device" do the following:
-
-
- << Windows 95 OSR2 / Win 98 >>
- ActiveMovie2 should already be installed
- (however, upgrading to MSMediaPlayer5.2 or higher is recomended!)
- Edit the SYSTEM.INI file.
- In the [MCI] section add the line: ActiveMovie=mciqtz.drv
-
-
- << Windows 95 - Original release>>
- Download MediaPlayer 5.2 or Higher then do the above.
-
-
- << Windows NT >>
- ActiveMovie2 should already be installed
- (however, upgrading to MSMediaPlayer5.2 or higher is recomended!)
-
- Use REGEDIT to add the following key:
-
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MCI32\ActiveMovie
-
- Set the value to: mciqtz32.dll
-
- Or just run the regitry-update file located where you installed
- MP3-Archive. The file is named: MP3PLAY.REG
-
-
- Good Luck
