  1. If you have some trouble with the MP3 player, you have to do some modifications in your system:
  2. If you get the message "not a registered MCI device" do the following:

  5. << Windows 95 OSR2 / Win 98 >>
  6.      ActiveMovie2 should already be installed
  7.      (however, upgrading to MSMediaPlayer5.2 or higher is recomended!)
  8.      Edit the SYSTEM.INI file.
  9.      In the [MCI] section add the line: ActiveMovie=mciqtz.drv

  12. << Windows 95 - Original release>>
  13.      Download MediaPlayer 5.2 or Higher then do the above.

  15.  
  16. << Windows NT >>
  17.      ActiveMovie2 should already be installed
  18.      (however, upgrading to MSMediaPlayer5.2 or higher is recomended!)

  20.      Use REGEDIT to add the following key:

  22.      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MCI32\ActiveMovie

  24.      Set the value to: mciqtz32.dll

  26.     Or just run the regitry-update file located where you installed
  27.     MP3-Archive. The file is named: MP3PLAY.REG
